SBI Employees to donate INR 100 Crore to PM Cares Fund, Covid-19

Since the time, the PM of India requested their citizens to contribute, many people came and donated the amount they could. This fund will get used in COVID-19 outbreak. Recently the country’s largest lender, State bank of India has pledged to donate INR 100 Crore for the Prime Minister’ citizen assistance and for the fund.

For the same, more than 2,56,000 employees of the bank have decided to contribute their two day’s salary to the fund.

Last time, the bank committed 0.25% of annual profit for financial year 2019-20 as a part of CSR activities to fight against COVID-19.

The chairman of the bank, Rajnish Kumar said- “It is a matter of pride for State Bank of India that all our employees voluntarily came forward to pledge their two days’ salary to the PM CARES Fund. This is the time where we all need to combat this battle of Covid-19 outbreak with united efforts. We at SBI would keep continuing our support the government in all its endeavours to address the challenges of this pandemic.”
