The finance minister, Nirmala Sitharaman has launched the facility of instant PAN card generator service through PAN card officially. It is a service valid for all the people who wants to get a PAN card and who has an Aadhar number. Applicants should also have a mobile number registered in the UIDAI database before applying for the PAN card via Aadhar card.
It will be a completely paperless and electronic PAN card service for all the users and it will also be a free of cost service given by the income tax department.
In a release issued by the Income tax department, it has been said that more than 6.7 lakh instant PAN cards have already been allotted to people and generating one PAN card takes only 10 minutes.
It has happened because the service has already been launched back in Feb but it is officially launched and announced by the FM today.
For applying a PAN card online, users need to go to the e-filling website of the income tax department and share their aadhar number followed by sharing the OTP generated in their registered number.
Once it is done, a 15 digit number will be generated and after the final allotment of the number, the PAN card will be ready to be downloaded from the website. It also will be sent to the email address if any.
It is an essential duty to link your PAN card with your Aadhar card within the deadline given, 30th June. If not done, your PAN card will not be in service any more.
